Pivot
In a market dominated by ultra-thin displays and bezel-free panels, Pivot explores a different approach to television design. Conceived as a piece of furniture rather than an electronic device, it combines premium materials and woven textiles with an integrated soundbar that transforms into the TV stand itself. The solution eliminates extra components and assembly, replacing them with a single object that looks as good as it sounds.

OVERVIEW
Televisions have increasingly become objects defined by technology rather than identity. As display technologies evolved and physical differences between products became smaller, visual differentiation progressively shifted away from the product itself.
The TV stand was once treated as part of the design itself, but as TVs grew larger, wall mounting became the norm, leaving less space for a stand with any real presence. Audio followed a similar path of neglect: built-in speakers typically fire backward or sideways rather than into the room, leaving sound quality far behind. The common fix is a separate soundbar or surround system — extra cost, extra cables, and a device that almost never matches the television's design. Placement becomes its own problem: mounted below the screen, it competes with the TV's own stand; placed on a freestanding unit, it often ends up sitting awkwardly in front of the very legs meant to display the product.
DESIGN APPROACH
Pivot addresses both the neglected stand and the underperforming built-in speakers by integrating the sound system directly into the product architecture. Rather than sitting beside the TV as a separate accessory, the soundbar becomes a central design element that also serves as the stand — replacing the legs, not adding to them.
THE SOUNDBAR-STAND SYSTEM
To transition between wall-mounted and freestanding, one of the side speakers is first pulled down to release the locking mechanism, allowing it to rotate around its central pivot. Once the predefined angle is reached, the speaker is pushed back up to lock it securely into position. The process is then repeated on the opposite side, creating a stable support structure without requiring separate parts. The system automatically recognizes speaker orientation and performs room calibration to optimize sound performance according to the installation configuration.
For users seeking an even more immersive experience, the Pro Version pairs Pivot with a wireless subwoofer, finished in the same woven textile as the soundbar legs.

FORM & MATERIALS
This TV is a true statement piece rather than an anonymous black rectangle. Soft pastel colors, woven textiles, and carefully integrated details create a warmer and more approachable character, inspired by contemporary furniture and interior design trends.
Particular attention was also given to the rear view, allowing the product to maintain its visual quality even when positioned at the center of a room. Connections and cables remain concealed behind a magnetic rear cover, preserving a clean appearance from every angle. In addition, a hidden retractable camera module extends only when needed for video calls or facial recognition, and retreats out of sight the rest of the time as a visible sign of privacy.
SUSTAINABILITY
Pivot approaches sustainability through integration and simplification: fewer components to manufacture, assemble, and eventually discard mean less material use, less manufacturing waste, and less clutter in the home — without giving up premium audio performance.
AWARD & RECOGNITION
In 2024, Pivot was recognized with a Red Dot Design Award. Pivot shows that innovation can come from rethinking the product itself, not only the technology behind it.
